Alexandra Chiorando

Marmalade Early Years Consultancy

I am an early years teacher and consultant with extensive experience working with two-year-olds across school nurseries and private early years settings. My background includes teaching in nursery and Reception, leading EYFS practice, and supporting teams to develop confident, developmentally appropriate provision for younger children. This training draws directly from my hands-on experience with two-year-olds, helping practitioners understand this unique stage of development and translate theory into calm, responsive routines, environments, and interactions that support regulation, communication, and wellbeing.

This training is ideal for nurseries, preschools and schools now welcoming two-year-olds into their provision.

Welcoming two-year-olds into your provision brings both opportunity and challenge. This training supports teams to think carefully about how environments, resources, and expectations need to adapt for younger children. It explores common schemas seen at this age, how children use open-ended play to make sense of the world, and how thoughtful environment design can reduce frustration and support regulation. Practitioners will be supported to create spaces and experiences that feel calm, purposeful, and developmentally right for two-year-olds, while building confidence across the team.
